Last week we played the quarter-finals of the Bank of Scotland John Stewart Double-rink Knockout (JSKO) against Kinross Juniors (KJCC), who currently lead Green League Division 1.
On sheet A, Fossoway's Iain Brown, Andy Macpherson, John Taylor, and Rob McLachlan, contested a close game with KJCC's Gregor Bousie, Ben Cormack, Lewis Leslie, and Beth Farmer, which finished 5-5.
On sheet B, scoring 4 in the first end gave an early advantage to Fossoway's Ian Nicholson, Shane Johnston, Tom McColgan, and Willie Thomson. KJCC's Andrew Johnston, Ross Cormack, Craig Barr, and Kirsten Bousie, played well and immediately tried to fight back, but they couldn't get the big end they needed, and it finished 8-3.
The combined score was 13-8 in our favour, which sees Fossoway progress to the semi-finals in March, where a familiar opponent lies in wait... We've already played them 3 times this season, and we're scheduled to play another 3 fixtures with them (excluding the JSKO) by the end of the season: Any guesses!?
