At 12:15 today we played the latest of our annual double rink friendlies, this time against Falkland.
Unfortunately the game didn't get off to the best of starts, when we discovered that one of our members was going to arrive late, while another completely failed to appear. Luckily our President was there (intending to fulfill official photographer duties) and able to salvage the situation.
In his game, the team made a good start, going 3 up after two ends, however they proceeded to lose shot after shot, eventually going into the last end 3 down. Somehow skip Shane Johnston found himself playing the final stone while lying the 3 shots he needed to tie the game and with an open hit for 4 to win. He made it and so capped a rollercoaster game. The other game is perhaps best not spoken about.
The final result was a win & loss for both clubs, with Falkland winning overall by shots difference.
We will face them again in the final session of KCT Division 2, on Wednesday 28 March, which could be a decisive game!
