Final founding member, Jimmy Johnson, announces retirement from curling.

Having started playing in 1972, with Tillicoultry, Jimmy learnt much of what he knows about curling from founding Fossoway President, Jack Fraser. In turn, many future Fossoway members learnt a great deal from this highly successful and well-respected curler.
As well as dominating club competitions, Jimmy was a regular in the Pairs, Seniors, and Masters circuit. He has played, and beaten, many of Scottish curling's big names, and is a two-time winner of the Dalrymple Cup (1986 & 2004 - with his original prize being a £4000 holiday in Corfu)!
Jimmy always played with a smile and could laugh about shots both good and 'not so good'. His enthusiasm and joy on the ice was truly wonderful. There is no doubt that the club has lost a brilliant player & personality, but hopefully Jimmy will continue to grace us with his presence as a spectator and as a guest at club dinners.
Thank you Jimmy.
